The successful production of ‘Odd Duck’ by SALLY Dance Company Maastricht and Het Laagland youth theatre company is being made into a television series. Its playful mix of dance and theatre is shown as a six-part pre-school series by the EO on Zappelin (NPO3).

This pre-school series is for young audiences and parents. It stays close to the original story and playfully addresses being different, keeping to rituals, fear of the unknown and the power of friendship.

The TV direction is by Meikeminne Clinckspoor, who previously made the kindergarten series Dropje for Zappelin. Clinckspoor edits the play into six eight-minute episodes. The original cast plays the characters Buur, Buuf and the Odd Duck with Gijs Nollen, Aafke Buringh and Patrizio Bucci.
